====== PBUtil ======

PBUtil is the ProBoard maintenance utility, ported from the 16-bit PBUTIL. Run it from a command prompt in the install folder. Always stop the nodes first when a mode rewrites the user file or a message base.

| ''HF'' | Hatch Personal File | Sends files to a user's personal-file area. ''-T=Name'' (required) names the recipient, ''-F=Name'' the sender, ''-D'' deletes the files afterward, ''-C'' copies them to the personal files directory. |
| ''MU'' | Music Player | Plays music files. |

Underscores can be used in user names instead of spaces. File names can include paths and wildcards.

Every run is logged, with the mode and the result.

Several of these modes rewrite the user file or a message base. Stop all nodes first, and take a copy of the data folder. See [[v4:maint:backups|Backups]].
