===== The mailer cannot connect =====

Run the built-in check, in the ProBoard folder:

It reads your settings and reports what it finds. Then check the link's host and port, your firewall, and that BinkP (24554) is open if others call you. See [[v4:mail:fidonet|FidoNet mail]].

===== Mail arrives but does not appear in the message base =====

It has not been tossed. Run a toss from the **Mailer / Tosser** menu in PBDispatch. A message area must exist for an echo before PBToss can put mail in it. See [[v4:mail:fidonet|FidoNet mail]].

===== An echo is missing after importing FastEcho =====

PBMigrate adds an echo to PBToss only if a matching message area already exists. Create the areas with **Import from FastEcho...** on the Message Areas screen. See [[v4:install:migrate_fidonet|Importing FastEcho and Internet Rex settings]].

===== A QWK or PBLink poll fails =====

Check the node's settings in ''PBQWK.CFG'' and the hub's address and port. The hub and PBFtp both default to port 21. See [[v4:mail:pblink|PBLink]].
