Maintenance

A board needs a little regular care. In v4 most of it can be automated.

• PBUtil: the maintenance toolbox. Pack the user file, pack message bases, remove old users, rebuild indexes, update download counters.
• A maintenance routine: what to run, and how often.
• Backups: what to copy and when.
• Message avatars are managed with PBAvatar, a command-line tool. See Programs.
